Background

Mechanical control and automation have become essential fields in modern engineering, underpinning innovations in manufacturing, robotics, aerospace, automotive systems, and industrial production. With the rapid progress of intelligent systems and Industry 4.0, traditional mechanical control systems are increasingly integrated with advanced computing, sensing technologies, and automation processes. This convergence enables greater precision, reliability, and efficiency in industrial operations. The ongoing development of automation has also brought forth challenges related to adaptability, sustainability, and human-machine collaboration. Therefore, exploring new methods and technologies in mechanical control and automation is crucial for addressing both theoretical and practical issues while driving advancements in engineering applications.

The symposium, which serves as a specialized session of the 4th International Conference on Mechatronics and Smart Systems (CONF-MSS 2026), will focus on mechanics and automation.

Goal/Rationale

The main objective of this symposium is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to discuss recent advances, challenges, and opportunities in the domain of mechanical control and automation. While significant progress has been made in areas such as robotics, mechatronic systems, process optimization, intelligent manufacturing, smart agriculture, and many challenges remain, including system integration, real-time monitoring, and adaptive control in complex environments. Publication

Accepted papers of the symposium will be published in Applied and Computational Engineering (ACE) (Print ISSN 2755-2721), and will be submitted to Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), Crossref, CNKI, Portico, Engineering Village (Inspec), Google Scholar, and other databases for indexing. The situation may be affected by factors among databases like processing time, workflow, policy, etc.
